Class module for adding Balloon or Rectangle style tool tips to your forms. Tool Tips can be Multiline and colors are selectable. Because of my other PSC submission
http://www.planet-source-code.com/vb/scripts/ShowCode.asp?lngWId=1&txtCodeId=57128 on how to use Balloon tips in the Systray, which is included in the ZIP, I did some API digging and came up with this.
Also included as part of the demo app is a Code Generator for Tool Tips made with the demo app, so you can cut and paste into your own code.
I'm sure there are many improvments that can be made, but this works, so take it and go play.

This is SOOOOO handy, and the gone generator makes it a snap to include in any project. What took so long for someone to figure this out? EXCELLENT! 5 HUGE ones from me! (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
this code works fine, but if i apply xp theme to the application having tooltips, the tooltips does not appers after i click the button. where button is having the tooltip. (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
first of all thank you for writing this code ;) I think two thing are missing for the perfect code. First fire the tooltip through code. For example I bind a ToolTip to a Text Control. On checking the form for error or wrong UserInput I see that on this Text Control is wrong Data so I want to throw the error through the ToolTip The second point is that I have to create an object for each Control I want to bind a custom ToolTip. So wish is that the Class can - once initilized on a form - create for each vb-given ToolTipText a Custom ToolTip. (I think i did see that a time before on PSC??)

Hi Sir thx for this code but I want some code in visual basic that is used for outbound calling crm I think You will help me (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
An excellent utility, thank you - one question though (I think someone else asked this), is there a way to force the tip to appear automatically when the form opens? I want to use the tip to point out a new bit of functionality to my users. I've tried calling ShowWindow with the hWnd but don't know what to put in nCmdShow. Or perhaps I'm barking up the wrong tree...Many thanks! (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
Matt ... I downloaded the files here at PSC just to be on the safe side that the achive is fine. It ran error free on my win XP Pro sp2 laptop and my win2k sp4 machine here at home. Olny ting I can think of off the top is a cut and paste error of the class, or missing the delare(s) at the start of you main module or form. (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
I believe that you are a cool guy. I've used your codes several times. Can you please get me something on how to save a picture into an OLE object field in MS Access and read it back? Thanks (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
Excellent, but one question, how i increment the show time? (If this comment was disrespectful, please report it.)
